At Beresfords we’ve always believed in the power of community. As a family run business with deep roots in Essex, we know how important it is to support the local charities that care for the people and families around us. That’s why our Colchester branch recently joined forces to support a cause close to many hearts - St Helena Hospice.
From November 2024 through to the end of March 2025, our Colchester team launched a charitable initiative where £10 from every successful instruction — across both sales and lettings — was donated to St Helena Hospice. Thanks to the amazing support from our clients and the hard work of the team, we’re proud to share that we raised a total of £820.
St Helena Hospice provides essential support for people facing incurable illness and bereavement across Colchester and the surrounding areas. Their work goes far beyond just medical care, offering comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
By making a donation for each new instruction, our team wanted to contribute in a way that felt meaningful and connected to our day-to-day work. Every home we help sell or let represents a family, a transition, a story and this initiative allowed us to make each of those stories count a little more.
We couldn’t have done this without the trust and support of our clients. Every instruction helped us move one step closer to our goal, and we’re grateful to everyone who played a part in making it happen. It’s proof that even small actions, when multiplied by a community, can have a big impact.
This initiative is part of a wider commitment across the Beresfords network to support the causes that matter most to our communities. Whether through fundraising, volunteering, or simply raising awareness, we’ll continue to look for ways to give back.
