Developments: Maltings Lane and Redrow

Maltings Lane is a long-standing and popular residential development with a recently built community centre. Alternatively, Redrow is the new development at the south of Witham with excellent access to the A12. Both offer great options for places to live in Witham.

Little Braxted

This tiny village just east of Witham has a small community of approximately 175 people. It has its own lovely church and a few businesses alongside some beautiful homes, making it a nice alternative to somewhere more central while still a stone’s throw from Witham’s schools and amenities.

Rivenhall

Another lovely village on the outskirts of town, Rivenhall is larger than Little Braxted and to the north of Witham. One of our favourite family friendly places to live in Witham, Rivenhall has its own primary school, village hall, playing fields and convenience store but you’ll need to head to Witham itself for large shops and other amenities.

Silver End

Larger than the other villages mentioned, Silver End lies between Witham and Braintree and was designed as a model village by industrialist Francis Henry Crittall. It has a primary school, a few useful shops and restaurants, and easy access to larger towns when required.

White Notley

Another lovely little village to keep on your list is White Notley, north-west of Witham. Delightfully rural, this historic village offers a peaceful lifestyle, a few small businesses and a primary school.

Semi-rural area close to Wickham Bishop

Finally, if you’re seeking a quieter lifestyle, then take a look at properties between Witham and Wickham Bishop. Here you’ll benefit from proximity to the town and all its amenities while enjoying the peace of a rural setting.
