Daniel Buck heads for the skies

Daniel Buck, Senior Negotiator at Beresfords Braintree office, will shortly be taking part in a sky dive to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate Cancer is close to Daniel’s heart after his father was diagnosed with the illness last year.  This is why Braintree’s office resident ‘dare devil’ is hoping to raise awareness of this cancer and help raise much needed funds to help find a cure.

Daniel must raise at least £500 before he can throw himself out of a plane at 14,000 feet (attached to a parachute of course!) which is why Beresfords are helping him in his fundraising.

Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life. They fund research into tests, treatments and the causes of prostate cancer. Over the years, research in this area has been badly underfunded. Prostate Cancer UK are changing this.

Daniel is just one of a number of Beresfords staff who are busy raising money for charity. James Dixon, Senior Negotiator at Beresfords Billericay Office, is currently taking part in a ‘dryathlon’ with a number of his friends to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This involves not drinking alcohol for the month of January; over 35,000 people across the country are participating.

James lost his mother recently after a yearlong battle with an aggressive brain tumour. So far his team has raised over £4,000 for Cancer Research UK and are hot on the heels of the first placed team in the country for sponsorship raised.
