Beresfords Get Stuck in for the British Heart Foundation
Last month teams from Beresfords Brentwood, Colchester and Head Office came together to take part in the Nuclear Races and Maldon Mud race both in aid of The British Heart Foundation.
The events really pushed the participants through their paces – with treacle-like mud and obstacles all part of the races. Cheered on by colleagues, family and friends the teams managed to raise over £1,300 for their efforts and were certainly pleased. With the Brentwood group tripling their original target!
Alex D’Andrea- Marketing Executive said ‘It’s my second year taking part, and I have to say it is always such good fun. We all came out absolutely covered, but you really can’t help but laugh. Its great team bonding as you all gee each other on. I can’t actually believe that I came in the first twenty five this year!
Another big draw for those taking part is the famous fancy dress competition. This year saw cheerleaders, superheroes, and fairies all vying for the winning spot- which was nothing less than a fabulous Porsche sports car for the weekend. The day was a huge success that saw a great deal of money raised for charitable causes and a fun day for the whole family.
