Step back in time at Ingatestones annual Victorian Evening

Ingatestone & Fryerning Parish Council’s annual winter celebration will take place on the 30th November between 5pm and 9pm.

The unique event, which sees the High Street become pedestrianised and shop owners donning period dress, is in its seventh successful year.

The night’s main purpose is to support and raise the profile of shops, businesses, organisations and charities in Ingatestone and Fryerning.

Visitors can expect a fun atmosphere and to discover more about Christmas past in a magical setting lined with charity stalls, street entertainers and seasonal treats.

There is also a competition for the best-dressed window display in the High Street.

Last year saw a record turnout of between 3,000 and 4,000 people.

The evening commences with a horse drawn carriage parade through the village and on to the church for the official opening.
