Brentwood
Brentwood is a vibrant town, close but not too close to the London suburbs and is popular with both commuters and families thanks to its excellent rail links to the City and highly regarded schools including Brentwood School.
Benefiting from its own mainline railway station, with journey times into London Liverpool Street in as little as 30 minutes, Brentwood is just off Junction 28 of the M25. What’s more the station will be on Crossrail making connectivity to the City, West End and beyond even easier.
The town has a wide range of shops including Marks & Spencer and Sainsburys. There are plenty of places to enjoy a coffee when the shopping gets too much such as Starbucks well as a wide choice of eateries, Zizzi, Prezzo and Pizza Express to name but a few.
There’s a wide choice of leisure opportunities in and around the town ranging from fitness centres to golf courses. The Brentwood Centre has a concert hall attracting national and international acts, a large state of the art gym and a swimming pool.
The Borough of Brentwood has over 1,200 hectares of woodland and three country parks. One of particular interest is Thorndon Park.
If town life isn’t for you, there’s a wide variety of pretty villages around its outskirts such as Herongate, Great Warley, South Weald and Blackmore.
