Moving house is likely to be one of the most complex and expensive decisions you are ever likely to make. Unfortunately, unlike many professions an estate agent does not have to belong to a professional body which means their conduct and working practices do not have to conform to a strict code of conduct designed to protect you, the consumer.

We at Beresfords belong to a number of professional bodies, including the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and The Property Ombudsman.

Before you choose an estate agent, ask if they are a member of a professional body. If the answer is no, you may care to ask why not? Here is a short video from the NAEA which highlights the service they offer.
