New Year, New Home?

New homes have always been exceptionally popular but what’s the attraction?

Well it should be attractions because the reasons are both numerous and compelling.

First and foremost there’s the obvious advantage of being able to choose your kitchen, bathroom, colour schemes and with some smaller niche builders, even remodel the layout. And on the day, you move straight in with everything is done.

Whilst some people may not be too attracted to larger developments, they often have the house style you want in different locations, so you can get the position you want, whether it be a sunny south aspect, a corner plot or one that’s un-overlooked. 

And of course new homes are built to the latest environmental and energy efficiency standard so they are economic to run and easy to maintain making them very popular with downsizers.

Financial incentives such as Help to Buy are a big plus as well and often builders will have their own incentives to add to the mix.

One of the most popular reasons to buy new though is because it is easy! The property will be chain free, eliminating the dreaded chain above and in some cases the developer will take your property in part exchange and avoiding a chain below as well. It’s about as stress free as you’re likely to get.
