Your Next Step!
Following this summer’s GCSE and A Level results, the government has reiterated its commitment to providing apprenticeship programmes for young people. Apprenticeships are a fantastic alternative to university for those looking to gain on the job experience and essential practical skills to set them up for their career.
Beresfords has always seen huge value in apprenticeship schemes, offering a wide range across our residential sales and lettings divisions, as well as within Marketing and IT. We have taken on school leavers as apprentices and seen them grow with the company for decades, which is down to continued support and opportunities to grow. Our apprentices have the chance to study alongside their role within their respective departments. We believe in investing in our colleagues, and it is this culture of nurturing those who join us that leads many of them to stay with us for a long time.
It may be that someone joins as an apprentice within one team and finds after the initial year that they would like to explore a career path within a different division of the company, and we are happy to accommodate those who wish to do this, offering flexibility and support.
“I really enjoyed my initial year at Beresfords, where I began as an IT apprentice. I was offered the chance to learn many skills I would not have attained at university, such as troubleshooting and professional networking skills,” says previous apprentice Daniel Ellis. “I was given the chance to build websites from scratch and created final products that I was extremely proud of. I knew that university wasn’t for me, and it felt great to be given the chance to start my career immediately upon leaving school and to then secure a full-time role at the company upon completion of my apprenticeship.”
Why not take a look below at some of our apprenticeships and other opportunities we currently have at Beresfords.
