Find events that are happening in Essex and Havering for the whole family to enjoy.  Here are our highlights of things to do over the next couple of weeks.

Christmas Lights Switch On at Chelmsford High Street along with our Paint a Bauble event in High Chelmer Shopping Centre, 22nd November

Come and watch the Christmas glow illuminate Chelmsford at the annual Christmas lights switch on.

Cheer on the entertainers who will light up the stage from 3pm until the event finishes with a bang at 4.45pm, when the fireworks finale launches near the Meadows Shopping Centre and the Town Sign.

For our Paint a Bauble event, come down to High Chelmer between 10am – 4pm to decorate a bauble. For each bauble decorated, Beresfords will donate £10 towards The Dream Factory Charity.

Sing for the Mornings Joy, Writtle, 22nd November

A Feast of sacred music for St.Cecilia’s Day featuring music by Howells, Elgar and Walton. All Saints Church, Writtle at 6pm. Tickets are £12 for an early purchase or £14 on door. Free admissions for children.

Take That LIVE! At Colchester United Football Club, 20th November

Ladies, have a little 'Patience' as Colchester United is excited to welcome a tribute to Take That! Prepare to be serenaded with the greatest hits and hit the dance floor!

Due to popular demand, the Take That tribute night is 'Back For Good', and it promises to be a night you will 'Never Forget'.

Romford Christmas Lights Switch-On, 19th November

Come and enjoy the family festive atmosphere at this free event. Starting at 4.30pm with action-packed entertainment throughout the evening.

Musical acts, singers and entertainment from the acrobatic wonders The Black Eagles, along with Father Christmas, Frosty the Snowman and his best friend Rudolph who will perform the switch-on of the Christmas lights.

A firework finale will light up the skyline at 6:30pm.

Christmas Tree Decorating at RHS Garden Hyde Hall, 28th November

During December RHS Garden Hyde Hall will have a number of Christmas trees on display in the garden and this is your chance to help decorate one of them (bring your own decorations).

Adult Craft Workshop: Christmas Paper Craft, Upminster,  17th November

Come along and try your hand at Christmas Paper Craft at Upminster Library. Try different techniques in a friendly environment. Suitable for all, including complete beginners. All materials will be provided. Booking is essential.
