Gin tasting evening at Essex County Cricket Club- Friday 18th October 2019
The event will start at 7pm and will finish at 9pm. The price per person will be £35. Throughout the evening you'll be given some nifty tasting tips & tricks, and we'll teach you how to make some top-class cocktails at home too. During the session, you’ll taste 6 premium gins, sampling the entire flavour spectrum gin has to offer.
The dark- The ultimate scare experience at Rollerworld- Friday 18th October- Thursday 31st October 2019
Ticket prices range between £15 to £20. This event will be in complete darkness and you will come face to face with some of the infamous and terrifying activity that has been documented across Colchester through its extensive and grisly history. You’re invited to experience the terror of those who have seen for themselves the ghosts, mysterious happenings and deep, dark secrets that haunt this otherwise beautiful Essex town.
Halloween festival Old MacDonalds farm- 26th October 2019
This Halloween Old MacDonalds farm has a range of activities taking place some of these activities include Halloween craft activities, animal encounters with sunny the owl, old MacDonalds ghost trail as well as Pumpkin carving. This is the perfect evening out for families with young children.
Historical walk of Moulsham Street- 20th October 2019
Moulsham Street, named by the Saxons, is perhaps the oldest street in Chelmsford and has a past which predates the city centre. Over time the street has seen many dramatic changes, but hidden away are some fine examples of its evolution which you will discover during this tour. The walk starts at Stone Bridge in the High Street next to Toni & Guy CM2 0LR at 2pm.
Spooky nights at Barleylands Billericay- 25th October to the 26th October
This night will be filled with little scares and spooky fun which is the perfect night out for younger children. Across the two evenings, there will be delicious food stalls, spooky hollow walk, mini diggers, spooky disco and much more. Each ticket only costs £10.
Fright nights at Colchester Zoo – 26TH October till the 2nd November 2019
As the daylight fades and the darkness sets in you’ll be able to enjoy some frightfully good attractions and activities which are sure to scare and delight. There’s plenty going on including the haunted church, the glow show and the outback track. The catering outlets will also remain open into the evening so you can enjoy dinner at Colchester Zoo or perhaps a warming hot chocolate or tasty trick or treat.
We are handmade Christmas craft fair at Great Dunmow- 26th October 2019- free entry
This Fair will feature over 30 makers and artists selling the latest in contemporary and vintage-inspired items. This will be the ideal place for shoppers to find those special gifts for loved ones this Christmas, with opportunities to discuss commissioned pieces with the stallholders. This event showcases quality handmade crafts, with makers selling a range of items to suit all pockets. Makers include Capricorn Crafts, makers of wooden toys and gifts.
Essex Festive gift and food show at the Brentwood Centre- 2nd November- 3rd November
Packed with Christmas gifts, presents for all the family and delicious festive food & drink, this really is a festive event that all the family can enjoy. There is also real-life reindeer and magical unicorn carriage rides at the show, there really is something for everyone. On both days the event starts at 10am and finishes by 5pm.
Chelmsford Fireworks display- 2nd November 2019
Chelmsford Fireworks is also the only non-commercial Fireworks display operating in the City where all money raised goes directly to local charities. The event is organised and run by Chelmsford Round Table. This year they are making some exciting changes that they hope will bring an even better atmosphere on the night. The doors will open at 4pm and the fireworks start at 7:30 pm.
