Find events in Essex for the whole family to enjoy.  Here are our highlights of things to do in the area over the next couple of weeks.

Events 31st August – 14th September

  • Wine Festival and Family Weekend, New Hall Vineyards, Chelmsford, 1st – 2nd September

Live music from Three Mile Hill, open winery, vineyard tours, handmade craft stall, locally produced snacks and hot food, free kids' craft barn, free face painting, bubble show, beer & bubbles bar, bouncy castle, Big Sing Choir, live performances and dance acts.

  • Kapow Superhero Challenge, Colchester, 2nd September

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to run, climb, or crawl your way through not ONE but TEN giant inflatable obstacles over a 5km course at Lower Castle park, Colchester. They are calling all Caped Crusaders, Wonder Women, Supermen and Super Teds to join them for KAPOW! Essex and Suffolk's only large-scale inflatable obstacle course in 2018.

  • CozFest, Sible Hedingham, 8th September

Music Festival and Family Fun Day. Beer Tent, Live Music, Bouncy castles, Activities, Competitions, Stalls and Attractions. Set in beautiful countryside CozFest offers a great day out for all the family and gives new local bands the chance to perform in an open-air setting. CozFest is also hosting the final of Braintree TV’s ‘Band Wars.

  • Pub Quiz, Great Dunmow, 11th September

Beresfords will be hosting a pub quiz on 11th September at The Saracens Head Hotel in Great Dunmow, in order to raise vital funds for The Maddi Foundation. The Foundation was set up by the family of local teenager Maddi Thurgood, when she was diagnosed with SPG15, a degenerative neuro-disease.

  • Luther Vandross Tribute , Colchester, 14th September

Fil Straughan as Luther Vandross has performed at the Stadium on multiple occasions and has never disappointed! He is a fantastic act and entertainer who will be sure to get you up and dancing.
