The property market reaches busiest month in over 10 years!
Following the announcement of the stamp duty holiday and after most people have been spending the majority of the year at home, the property market saw its busiest month in over 10 years in July with more people moving than ever before this summer.
Beresfords own figures were at a record high last month with £105 million worth of property sold and a ratio of 14 buyers per 1 property to buy!
Beresfords CEO, Paul Beresford commented, 'The number of properties coming to market per day is up considerably. We're also seeing a large number of clients moving from cities like London, out to the more rural Essex. We're lucky to have the best of both worlds in Essex, with rolling countryside and villages as well as a good commuter time into London when people return to the city for work.'
Rightmove reported record figures with a total of 37 billion worth of property sold in July.
Here at Beresfords, our financial services division, Flagstone Financial took £52 million worth of mortgages arranged during July while lettings had 894 new tenants registered with 484 viewings agreed.
