Let There Be Light

By Alex D'Andrea - 01 March 2019

After last week’s unusually milder climate we have been looking at conservatories and what makes them an asset to a property.

Research from NAEA Propertymark state the average cost of a conservatory will set you back £4,300, however, this can increase the value of the property by 5% on average. A conservatory also allows for a significant decrease in the bills you pay, due to the amount of heat that it can contribute to the house, as well as the opportunity to have another room for whatever your heart desires. With all that in mind (and whilst the sun is still shining) here are some of our favourite houses with conservatories.

This fantastic five bedroom detached family home located in the prestigious 'Old Shenfield' area has accommodation split over two floors. To the ground floor there is a good sized entrance hall, a light and airy study, an excellent large living room with feature fireplace and access to the rear garden. There is also a formal dining room and a superb kitchen/diner, separate utility room and an additional large family room with views to the rear aspect which also links through to the large conservatory with French doors leading out to the rear garden. To the first floor there is a family bathroom, a separate recently modernised shower room and five good sized bedrooms, the master benefitting from a recently fitted brand new ensuite. Externally the rear garden is of superb size and is south facing whilst to the front of the property there is a large gravelled driveway with space for numerous vehicles as well as access to the large integral double garage which has electric up and over doors.
