Trying to find things to do with children this Easter? Here are a selection of activities that are happening across the County:

Saturday 23rd March to Sunday 14th April 2013
Easter Egg Hunt in Colchester
A FUN FREE event in town over the Easter period!
24 independent traders are listed on a map that you can follow to collect stickers in order to complete the hunt.
Once the qualifying number of eggs is collected, the map is swapped for a real chocolate egg and a completion certificate for the children taking part.

Day Out with Thomas at East Anglian Railway Museum
All aboard for a Day Out With Thomas!
Meet Thomas the Tank Engine™ and his friends, who are waiting to meet you at East Anglian Railway Museum. Experience a ride on a real steam engine, shake hands with The Fat Controller and take part in Thomas themed activities in the Imagination Stations.

Explosive Easter - Royal Gunpowder Mills Secret Island
Explosive Easter promises all manner of explosions, offering children's activities and a spectacular arena event over the Bank Holiday Weekend with some exciting explosions. In the MadLab Professor Nitrate has his own big bang theories and some special things to try with Easter Eggs.

Easter Family Fun Day & Record Attempt
A free family fun day where we will be attempting to break the World Record for the most dip dyed eggs at any one time. The record to beat is 318! There will also be a bouncy castle, go carts, face painting, egg decorating and refreshments.
Time: 2pm to 4pm with record attempt at 3pm

Easter Egg Hunt - Epping Ongar Railway
Come and see if you can find all the Easter Eggs the Easter Bunny has hidden around our railway, bring your answer sheet to the shop to collect your own egg!

'Marshall' the Lilleshall steam driven pumping engine will be in steam. Including a display of traction engines.
