Celebrating Christmas from a bygone age
After many successful years, the renowned Victorian Evening returned to Ingatestone and as usual the Beresfords team got into the festive spirit by transporting themselves back in time!
The Victorian Evening Committee, which includes our very own Denise Morris who is the Branch Manager of our Ingatestone office, worked hard to bring the event to life and transport people back in time to a Victorian Christmas.
Father Christmas made a special appearance in his very own horse drawn carriage, and the crowds that filled the High street were entertained by Morris dancers and bagpipers to help cement the Christmas cheer.
Like at all good parties, nibbles and wine were available throughout the evening in our branch. Individuals had the chance to enter a free prize draw for a traditional hamper and other festive goodies, which were won by several local families and children were also given the opportunity to take part in a lucky dip.
Meanwhile, entries from the recent drawing and painting competition that we ran with the local Ingatestone Infant School, were displayed proudly in the window.
Denise Morris, Manager of our Ingatestone branch, commented: “The Victorian evening in Ingatestone is a time of year which everyone looks forward to and as a company we thoroughly enjoy participating in it. It is great fun for people of all ages and to see so many people come into the office, was just fantastic.”
